2G regulation for restaurants and hotel accommodation

The Federal Council has decided to make the interiors of hotels and restaurants accessible only to recovered and vaccinated persons as of December 20, i.e. we are no longer allowed to receive guests who only have a test certificate. The other measures concerning the mask obligation and the distance regulations remain valid.

2G+ in wellness area

After the federal requirements were specified, the 2G+ rule also applies in hotels in the wellness area, i.e. vaccinated and recovered guests over 16 years of age must additionally present a valid test certificate in order to visit the wellness area (the link for testing options can be found below). Exempt from the testing requirement are all persons whose last vaccination or recovery was less than 4 months ago.

Other regulations:

Since 06 December 2021, new regulations apply in Switzerland for pandemic control. These also have an impact on hotel operations. The following regulations apply:

For guests from Switzerland and from abroad:

  • A Covid certificate (proof of vaccination, recovery) in the form of a digitally readable QR code is required for check-in. Vaccination booklets are not accepted.
  • In all premises, except in your room and when consuming while sitting at a table, it is mandatory to wear a mouth-nose mask. Medical masks, FFP2 masks and certified fabric masks are accepted. Handmade cloth masks do not provide adequate protection and therefore cannot be accepted.
  • We ask for your understanding that we will not accommodate guests who cannot wear a mask (even with a medical certificate).
  • All guests are called upon to make their contribution by ensuring the necessary hand hygiene (disinfectant dispensers are available) and by observing the minimum distances.

In addition, the following applies to guests from abroad:

  • Before entering the country, all travelers must fill out an entry form online (exceptions for residents of border areas with Switzerland).  This can be found at:
    https://swissplf.admin.ch/formular
  • Likewise, a valid PCR or antigen test is required from all entrants from the 16th birthday, which is a maximum of 72h (PCR) or of 24h (Antigen) old. We are obliged to check the presence of a valid test from guests from abroad.

Both measures also apply to vaccinated and recovered persons.
